Grandpa and Grandma from Utah Visit!!!

Dan and Doug out in the water

Bry catching his first wave!
Sand mountain

Dan's parents came out to visit us last week. We had a lot of fun talking Dad into getting into the FREEZING cold ocean, we just kept promising him he would go numb and be able to enjoy playing without freezing to death!! Dan and him ended up outlasting me in the water, which is hard to do! Bryan was also able to try out that boogie board we got him for his b-day, I have to say he was pretty good he even caught waves by himself! We stopped by sand mountain and all of the boys made it to the top. They tryed to slide down but the skim board didn't work, so they half ran and half rolled down instead. Doug and Sue just happened to be here just after Bry's b-day so they thought they would buy his present out here. We got to talking about how much the kids all like basketball and so naturally being the good grandparents they are Doug and Sue decided to buy the whole family a group b-day present- a really nice basketball backboard! We've all played almost everyday since they've left! Thanks guys that was perfect! We had a really nice visit, thanks for coming out and spending time with our family!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

Well, Bry turned 9 this past week and had a blast, I am amazed at what a smart, handsome, big guy he's becoming! I still cannot believe I have a 9 yr. old! He got a basketball, a kid metal detector, and a boggie board! We spend so much time at the beach the metal detector and boggie board will be used alot! He also was able to choose where we went for dinner and he chose his favorite, sushi. I thank the Lord everyday for sending Bryan into our lives and alowing him to survive those first few weeks, I have learned so much from his special spirit. I LOVE YOU Bry!

SPRING BREAK!!!!

I know it's been a while since I've updated the blog, we've been so busy with the kids and all of their various activities!

We did however find a few free days in all of our schedules to do some beach camping, we had so much fun! Our campsite was right on the sand, the water was literally a few feet away! The weather happened to be the worst it had been all week on the few days we were there, but everyone still ended up in the water and in suits on the beach!

The boys playing "swords" at our campsite.

Digging holes is hard work!

Dad got in on the fun

The hole turned into a fort.

"Don't worry Mom, we'll get the pirates!"

Time to eat dinner!!

It's getting COLD time to start the fireThere was a whole family of Dolphins that went up and down the coast the whole time we were there!

I love being a Aunt!

Fondue for snack!!
Robyn LOVED the fondueEveryone loved the park
We sure tired Dan out, Robyn took advantage of it!
They all played so well togeather!

A few weeks ago Dan's sister's kids came out to visit, they were here for a week. We had so much fun! We spent endless hours at the park! We even went to a movie and made it through all of it!This week happened to be the weekend that Dan goes out to the desert with all of the men in my sister's husbands family, so I was alone all day Friday and Saturday with six kids. It really was fine, the kids all behaved really well and my older ones were a huge help with the younger ones. I took all of the kids downtown for ice cream on Saturday afternoon, you should've seen the looks I was getting! Older people would walk by and smile, they thought it was sweet to have so many kids. The younger people- people in their late 20's- would walk by and do double takes, their eyes would get really big! I wish we would have had a hidden video camera, it was hilarious! The kids and Dan and I had a lot of fun, the kids with their cousins and Dan and I with our nieces and nephew! I do have to admit, I sure am glad I stopped at three!!!!

Wax Museum!!

Cole as Dr. Seuss
Two of Cole's best freinds: Landon as Elvis
and Tanner as Neil Armstrong

Today Cole was part of a "Wax Museum" at school. Everyone in his class had to write a 1 1/2 page research paper on their favorite famous hero. Cole chose Dr. Seuss. They then memorized the paper, dressed up like the character and stood in the wax museum. When you touched the red button on their hand, they came to "life" and told you their memorized research paper! He did such a good job, I am so proud! All of these little first graders were soooo cute!!

Cole also lost his first tooth last night, I was at a show so Dan told him he had to wait to put the tooth under his pillow so I could see it (the tooth fairy needed extra time to run to the store!). Cole just thinks he is on top of the world right now!!!!
